How We Met

Laura and Taylor met on Bumble in early 2020. Their first date was at Wise Cup in Oak Park. Laura thought Taylor was suspiciously sweet but his tenacity paid off! They were lucky enough to get to see Local H in concert and go on a few dates before the shut down. When shelter-in-place was ordered in March 2020, they looked at each other and asked if they wanted to go through it together. Yep! They’ve been together ever since.

The Engagement

On July 14th, 2022 Taylor proposed to Laura on Lookout Mountain in Golden Colorado. He found a nice quiet spot with a beautiful mountain range in the background and popped the question. They spent the night celebrating and were super excited to share the news with friends and family the next day.

We’ve reserved courtesy hotel blocks at The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, less than 5 miles from the reception hall.

Formal Reception

6:00 PM

All invited guests will join us for a reception with dinner/drinks & dancing at Salt Creek Golf Club.

  • 6:00 PM – Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres
  • 7:00 PM – Dinner
  • 8:00 – 11:00 PM – Dancing, Drinks, Dessert

After Party

The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg lounge & bar will be open till 1:30 AM.

Honeymoon Fund

In lieu of a gift registry, we invite our guests to contribute to our shared honeymoon fund. All gifts will support our thirst for adventure and love for one another.

Yes, parking is available at the reception.

We hope our wedding can be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail or semi-formal attire! This could be a suit, sport coat and dress pants, or button down and slacks for gents and a dress, jumpsuit, or pantsuit for ladies.
